About
I’ve been involved in the struggle for justice since 2003, and am excited to offer the skills I’ve gained to people that need them. I have facilitated organizations from the super-local to the bi-national, in person and on the phone, with directly impacted communities, diverse coalitions, student organizations, and grassroots community groups.
Over the past several years, I founded and coordinated the Ohio Student Environmental Coalition, was a member of the Energy Action Coalition‘s anti-oppression working group including one year as its coordinator, got a degree in Women’s Studies and Sociology from Syracuse University, and helped start a cooperative house.
While I count integrity and intuition as my greatest organizing strengths, I’ve been formally trained by a number of organizations, including Training for Change, Wellstone Action, the Center for Nonviolent Communication, Landmark Education, and the Ruckus Society. I’ve facilitated meetings, trainings, and action for many groups as well, including the Energy Action Coalition, Mountain Justice, Ohioans for Health, Environment, & Justice, the Beehive Design Collective, the Weinland Park Community Civic Association, the Ohio Student Environmental Coalition, and the Student Environmental Action Coalition.
Today, I’m involved in food and wellness issues in my neighborhood in Columbus Ohio, play the banjo, and fancy myself a handyman. I have a strong need to be effective, and get a strange sense of satisfaction from building an attractive spreadsheet.
